Why those 3?

They seem to have received the best reviews outside of the higher end lines. thoughts?

Do you need to go with all one manufacturer for all the appliances?

no, actually prefer LG fridge, electroux double wall oven/cooktop or frigidaire gallery double oven/cook top. We have old GE profile now and have not had the best experience. Our DW is Bosch and we love it. What is your experience?

of the 3 I would go with them in the same order you have listed.
Of all brands I'd go with Bosh for dishwasher, samsung for ref/frez, wolf for cooktop (2nd Themodor) and electrolux for ovens.

why samsung and not LG? heard from local appliance stores that parts for Samsung are hard to obtain and the ice maker is quite noisy. We already have a bosch DW and it is great-

They are both from the same Korean manufacturing center, but I've found I can get a better discount of Samsung for the same features.

As a builder I use Frigidaire & Electrolux which are the same company. My standard package is the frigidaire twin fridge, (almost 6 'wide) with a riser & trim kit, with Frgidaire Pro dbl convection ovens, Pro MW oven & pro dishwasher. I normally use the Electrolux Pro slide in cooktop with the big buttons on front. Wishing they would come out with the slide-in cooktop in induction, (they have it electric). The Frigidaire Pro appliances have more features than the competitors, (lots of buttons make them look really expensive. I also use the trim kit on other fridges for that clean, built-in look, (See pic). I like using the same brand so the stainless matches. Put an LG dishwasher in a house and homeowner HATES it.

I have an LG French door fridge and I HATE it. The entire interior is made of cheap brittle plastic that breaks easily in the cold. I have replaced almost every plastic part of the doors, drawers, and shelves both in the fridge and freezer sections at least once. The good news is that I have a replacement parts website that is much cheaper than going through the LG website and replacing is pretty easy, but why should I have to do this with normal use?. My kids aren't even home anymore.
