Oh, dark teal in the DR sounds fab. I like a DR that gives some drama to the rest of the space. Since the FR is beige, the cabinets are white and the counters are beige, it's time for some color in that kitchen! Blue is a tough color to get right in the kitchen, but if you use the Houzz searchbox and click on "Ideabooks" or "Photos" you'll see some great ones. Another color that plays well near a blue room is green. Hold some green paint chips up near your teal to see which ones agree.
