Empty mantle after Christmas

We need some help with ideas for our mantle. We had beautiful Christmas decor but we are out of ideas for the spring. We like the mirror but are not attached to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That mirror is too small for the space. need bigger art or something, Can you turn that book case flat on the wall, will it fit there to the left of fireplace?

I think you need 2 vases or candles on mantel, rather than art in the middle.

    What about a round mirror?
    With a small frame
And yes- the gry book case will fit against the wall--

Gonna shove it over now--- thanks

The mirror thats there now does nothing for the space. how about a different mirror with a black frame to go with the pictures on the right wall. add a small plant and a few candles to finish off the mantle.

Will you just try something for me.......take the mirror off the wall and turn it the other direction. Prop it on the mantle, off centered. Take the two pics off the wall behind the chaise and put them up there, too, layered with each other and the mirror.

Frankly, I wouldn't want to double the ceiling fan with a mirror. Start the year off with a treasure hunt for a perfect piece of art. https://www.houzz.com/magazine/11-tips-for-picture-perfect-mantel-styling-all-year-stsetivw-vs~6411089

It is too high there, isn't it.....ok.....will you try it again with the mirror the way it was before ON the mantle and with the pics layered that same way? Love the shelving unit straight that way, too.

I say you get 3 square frames/canvases (not sure of the size) hang them between the middle of the mantle and ceiling and space them out evenly.

OK, are we seeing a few more pics there in the forefront of your last pic? We might want to try tose on the mantle, too, with the mirror as the backdrop.

The mirror might have to go... We are thinking round mirror since everything else is so square... What do you think? The second picture is what we had pre Christmas....

The bonsai won't be able to live there so maybe just another fresh green plant type thing??

Now you are talking.....I like this!!! Just because it is different and it seems to work! Like that the pics can go both directions. And I have to say, I am always a fan of greenery in a room. Slide it in closer to make it more a part of the grouping. Just leave some wall space showing behind it.

That's what we are thinking and the greenery needs to be a little more green. I am going to try a round mirror. Pictures to follow soon. Thank you!!!

    HI,
THE LAYERING IS MAKING FOR MUCH MORE INTEREST. PERHAPS A FUNKY VASE OR SCULPTURE (SMALL-LOW) -WHY PLANTS?? NEXT TO IT. WISH YOU HAD A YUMMY PALE,
MODERN TAKE ON A PERSIAN RUG IN THERE. COLD FLOOR...BRRRR. PRETTY KITTY.
HOW ABOUT A PHARMACY LAMP BEHIND THE CHAISE? OVERHEAD LIGHT CAN BE TOO STERILE. LOSE THE BLANKET RACK AND PUT THE THROW ON THE CHAISE OR COUCH OR...A MORE INTERESTING LIGHT FIXTURE OVERHEARD WOULD NOT BE AMISS. GOOD LUCK!
