Janelle, thanks for several images of your room. I'll assume the doorway into the space is on the wall opposite the TV otherwise that would be the best location for the sofa. I would advise gently editing the decorative elements currently in the room before deciding on what to add. You have some interesting pieces and you are not getting the best impact from them. If you want to email me your room dimensions (a length and width will suffice, and please indicate the location of doorways and windows) and rough measurements for the furnishings in the room I would be happy to work up a floor plan for you. :)

Great! Thank you. The wall adjacent to the tv is open to the kitchen, so yes the only place for the couch is facing the fireplace. We have been thinking about down the road getting a leather sectional. The dimensions are 16ft by 22ft...couch is about 71/2 feet..So, whatcha think?

Here is another one of the fireplace. I haven't decorated yet... I just have stuff up there now trying to decide where to place it.

Btw I plan on getting a big picture drawn of my children to go over the mantle or a unique piece of art
