Do you have any pictures as examples?

So the first picture is what I am told my choices are for the hand holds. ICK! The second picture is a pool wall similar to what I will be doing except they used scuppers for the waterfall and mine will be sheer descent waterfalls. I also want to choose a blue iridescent glass tile. The last picture is an example of what I am told the hand holds have to look like on wall to satisfy the code.

Ditto...me too. I am building a modern looking pool and all the hand holds are awful. I thought of finding something in lucite but my pool builder said that there are 2 problems with that. 1) that the adhesive will show through and 2) over time the Lucite, exposed to the sun and chemicals will turn yellow.

Anyone have or know of something better? Please help. Was even thinking clear glass because I'm using glass tiles anyway but haven't found anything yet.

Same issue here. Any one out there with a pottery wheel ? Maybe if we cut a small ceramic cereal bowl in half and fired it on a ceramic square 6x6 I just need 3!!!! Please reply and we can work out a fair fee?

This company (above) sells them for the company that makes them. The company that makes them is called Horner Xpress (but they will not sell to end user, only to your pool contractor). Hope this helps you out.

Can you upload pictures of the finished product in Lucite? I am having this same issue. Can't believe that other decent looking products are not available.

Hello all, asn54 is correct. There is a clear lucite one (it has not faded from the sun - yet). It depends on what you use to adhere them, you may have to re-do. I will try to upload a couple of pics. I also wondered if glass would have been an option at all.... good luck! This is a real need for product development in this area for modern clean looks!

First pic shows the actual product. Second picture attached showing pool tile/fountains with handles installed - try to find them! (Hint: for one of them, look for the red flower). Your pool contractor must install!

Hi Everyone ...I just want to give you an update. It is now almost a year since mine were installed and (drum roll please) ...they are holding up beautifully! I haven't experienced one problem. No yellowing, not one has fallen off, no problems at all. I would have thought by now that if I was going to have a problem it would have already happened. In fact both my pool person and I have knocked into them while brushing/cleaning the pool and they have held on as tight as my dog holds on to her favorite toy. Plus while they serve the need that Palm Beach County makes us have, they do not detract from the beautiful finished look of my pool. And one more note...When my pool turns on it just so happens that water from my 5 spillovers (from my spa to the pool) dumps water on one of the handhelds. It just happens when the pool turns on (until the full amount of spill over is achieved) and at first I thought (with this happening on a daily basis) that it may weaken the hold but I have not a problem. They are as strong as the others, no weakening of the hold at all. Hope my update helps or at the least makes your worries go away...enjoy your beautiful pools!!

Hello, i am building a pool and just found out like yourselves I have to add hand holders that are ugly and look like soap dishes for your shower. I was reading your emails and I need 2 glazed ones. I am adding glass tiles. if I could find a seashell only in black or dark blue glazed would work. Not the bulky square ones. Thank you!

It's hard to believe after reading all these comments that we are all experiencing the same issue. We are re- modeling our pool, chose a modern beautiful glass tile and the choice of hand holders are horrible. I am trying to find a clear glass option. Has anyone found a company on planet earth that makes a nice alternative to "plastic"?

My pool guy is ordering for me two clear hand holds from Prospect Plastics. Does anyone have any recommendations on how and what to use to adhere the hand holds to glass tile? I am putting them on my spa wall.

Ok we could not do the clear acrylic hand holds due to needing them right away. We took the grey resin ( best color choice) with the flu de lies (sp?) molded into them. The color is cast all the way through. We ground off the goofy designs with a bench grinder, then a smoother sandpaper made it smooth and WALA it looks great and more modern. Each took about 15 mins It was mastic onto wall against 6x6” pool tile. Grouted it looks more modern. It has a sheet of 4 ft wide water fall above it. You hardly notice them.

They have now been on for 2.5 years.

does anyoen knownif you can paint the ugly ones? we found out at i soection they meed to be installed they are kind of big and bulky a d we are just trying to match everything else we will habe thr tile cut away to install these just wondering if we cannpaint them with an outdoor latex paint thanks

Im a swimming pool contractor in south florida these hand holds are perfect and dont fall off the wall. I have used those S curve acrylic handholds mentioned in above photo. the biggest problem with that product is it will fall off the wall within 6 months to a year of being installed. as a contractor that has a young family this is a huge problem for me. this new handhold we have been using has been re designed to never be removed great product highly reccomend it.
