It all depends! How big is the room? How high are the ceilings? Do you have a photo of where it would go?

It's hard to see the scale of the piece in that limited photo. But if I was forced to say something right now I would say yes, it would overwhelm an average sized master with average height ceilings.

Unfortunately, without having height and dimensions, we don't know. What we do know here, is that an elegant light over cluttered shelf units don't look good.

Actually, I love using large scale fixtures to make a dramatic statement - especially if unexpected in a smaller space! ! And, it looks like you picked a beauty!

The bed itself, not the bedding, is the only piece here that looks like it would be of the appropriate elegance for the chandelier. If you're starting a makeover, then the bed and chandy would make excellent anchor pieces for your decor to start with.

As long as it's not over the bed....! deco is right, though, the whole room needs made over.

What's wrong with the decor? I know the bedspread is casual - it's my back up for when my other is at the cleaners.
