Consider a deep red mahogany like the flowers in the box.

A terrace of stone or pavers would be more appropriate than a deck for this type of home.

I would agree with both, use a deep brick red paver, and consider bordering the existing concrete with the same material to provide a cohesive appearance

The weathered grey is very popular right now and complemented with a railing in a red cedar or mahogany or white railingsand spindles and dark grey top hand rails.

I like the weathered gray reminds me of the wharf - but keep with that theme for railings. You don't want to stand out with magony - that would be like wearing a striped multi colored vertical skirt with a polka dot top - does't work.

The first deck - I have no idea who builds it or the company that produced it.
