it is currently ok. but to me it lacks color, The objects looked lined up like soldiers. if it is possible, maybe put some on an angle. the big c;lock on the wall doesn't appeal to me. I would have a painting instead,

I agree with saratoga and unwanted. Remove the greenery, move the things you have on the mantle to look more asymmetrical and add some color! I love your clock!

CLEVER idea! Yes, remove the greenery. Maybe slide the two wooden ones closer together and have a blank space instead.

Move the greenery and get a perpetual motion anniversary clock, you could move the clock on the left to the bookcase top... A funky steampunk clock with it's inner workings showing... Cuckoo clock... I love this theme! They aren't the same time right now though... You could do a 3 clock tryptic with Grenwich, your time zone and a friend or family members time zone (my sister lives in Australia so if it was me, I'd have one for there so I'd know when it's ok to call) and a funky old digital... Oh the fun you can have!

Thanks everyone...I've been trying all of your ideas! The greenery is GONE and we're thinking of a bolder shade of the same color for just the wall over the mantle. I was wondering if anyone would notice that the clocks are not set at the same time - the one on the left is very old (circa 1850, family heirloom) and unfortunately no longer works. I plan to set the hands at 5:00 (cheers!), but the other clocks will be set correctly (I like the idea of different time zones!). I failed to mention that, when in use, our overhead track lighting creates a fabulous shadow of the big wall clock and adds a whole other dimension to the wall! Any comments on my revisions??

This is a great wall to decorate. Try painting the wall a dark color (I would like to know what other colors you have in the room to make this suggestion). Take away all of the other pieces except for the wall clock and leave the hour glass where it is.

My living room is very similar to yours. All of my walls are painted with Sherwin Williams- Realist Beige and my fireplace wall is Dutch Cocoa. I love the contrast and it picks up the other red tones in my room. Pick an accent color that exists within your room and you won't be sorry. Good luck!

I like the mantle as is now (w/o greenery). What about decluttering the bookshelf and adding more clocks scattered around there? Maybe even painting the back to lighten it up?

Time to tackle the two bookshelves right and left. 1/3 books, 1/3 decor and 1/3 open space will make a big difference in your overall focal end of the room.
