It's a great space, but I would move the 2 chairs onto the empty wall as conversation on an angle seems a little awkward. I would separate the chairs by a chest type piece in the middle, and angle the chairs slightly into the room. I would look for a rather large interesting lamp for that table. On the wall where the chairs are now, maybe a nice credenza, again with a lamp near one end. It could hold sound equipment. On top of it I would have a large silver try with colorful alcohol/wine bottles & glasses and use as a bar area for entertaining. It is often more comfortable to have lamp lighting. Definitely a large patterned rug for the center of the room. Use colors from rug for pillow accessories. And..lots of large art pieces.

Thank you Barbara! the "wall" where the chairs are now is actually glass doors that open up to a balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea. I didn't want to block those doors so maybe a bench / daybed type piece??

keep in mind the natural flow of traffic through the space and try to keep that clear. It works much better than corralling people around and in between furniture. I think all that wall needs is a nice sideboard or credenza as you suggested with either a large framed art piece or mirror above it. You could even wall mount a flatscreen tv above a sideboard if you'd be interested in using the space for that.

Thanks WhiskeyRobot! I was thinking a daybed because I already have a mirrored credenza in my dinning room and right next to it I have a media room (wooden barn doors on the right) and have a "floating" tv there. I'll try and attach some more images.
