Hmmmm....unless you are turning this into a games room, and are going to play scrabble, bridge, etc., not sure about having four chairs facing each other???

That is not the most comfortable design for a sitting room from my perspective.

Where is your TV now? do you like to read? do you have a fireplace?

When I think sitting room (which I don't as it is not a term I would use), I think cozy & comfortable. Four chairs facing each other is not my vision of either. Just sayin......

We have a separate living room w/tv and fireplace. My thinking is to use this room as an additional place for conversation when we entertain. Or a quiet place for me to have a cup of tea in the afternoon.
