Dire need of help with accessories!

I am trying to complete my master. I need bedding, nightstands, lamps, and new panels. Not sure whether I need a rug, and another matching chair. My style is sophisticated neutrals...grays, creams, taupes, white. Really looking to add texture as opposed to a lot of color. No florals and geometric colors or bright prints. Starburst is hung too high because bed used to be there. Can be moved. The paint color will stay the same. Welcoming all suggestions or ideas!

    Love the idea of a shallow chest or console under the mirror. A geometric flat weave rug will really warm up the space. A tall chair and ottoman, if space allows, in the corner would be great! You can put a floor lamp beside it for a cozy reading spot. Make sure your bedside tables totally fill up the space by the bed. A common mistake is to use bedside tables that are too small. A beautiful natural linen spread would give you a neutral bed. Throw on a duvet at the foot, covered on a cream or white duvet cover and add color on your pillows. You have a great "base". You just need to finish it all with beautiful details.

      Find an 8x10 rug that you absolutely love and then let the rug inspire the rest of the room. Best!

      I feel like you could add some sort of a shallow dresser to put under the starburst. If you wanted color that would be one way to bring it in (find it at a garage sale and paint it). The drapes are good, find a linen or khaki bedspread and add color or pattern with sheets (it makes it ez to change later if you get board). The rug is a great idea does not have to be big, you see a lot now with only part show bc the rest is under the bed.

      Brittney, I caught the chair on sale yesterday and unfortunately, it does not bode well with the existing inexpensive drapes. So I am hoping to change those! I'm not really looking to bring in a lot of color though. Great idea about the linen/khaki bedspread and being able to change the scheme later, if needed. What do you think if I got something like that and used the blanket pictured under the gray comforter as a "coverlet"? Or should I try something else?

      I think the coverlet is a great idea. If your looking for balance (which always dives me nuts) get the other chair. Drapes are always hard to buy (it always feels like I'm paying more then I should for them). Have you looked around at west elm for ideas, I feel like it would be a mix of your style. I'm not big on color either, I'm in to grays and all shades (light to dark) in my bedroom that is.

      I'm checking west elm now. I am into variations of grays and taupes myself. While I am not fully matchy-matchy, I am really concerned about the entry area being wide open with nothing there.....what are my options besides a chair? There is a closet entry nearby....

      Thank you, LDD! I think I can work with a combination of your suggestions with Brittany's. What color would you ladies suggest for bedside tables? Thank you for the advice on the size. I'll try to "fill up" that wall space as best I can.

      This is a totally different approach. I would love to see how your bed would look between the two windows and the wall decoration would now be above the bed. I would also get some taller darker flower decor for the large vase. As for the lamps, I would replace the lampshades to black or dark brown to make all the white really stand out. I know you don't want color, but maybe just one item with another color to zap it all together. A hint of yellow or rust.. Maybe a picture with those colors. I

      Oh, you mean flowers inside of the vase? Yes, I will purchase some tall ones once I am sure of the final location of the vase in the room. I moved the bed back, but really torn on bedding, rug, and lamps. Truly prefer to layer neutrals throughout.

      Color! Don't be afraid to add a pop of color. Look in your closet what color jumps out of your wardrobe. Use it

      Have painted the interior walls several times, have taken back numerous colors of various items over the past year. I really prefer neutrals. (laugh)
      Would welcome any suggestions for layering neutral textures through this room!

      I think an interesting vintage chest or dresser with a great lamp and a piece of art or a unique mirror, all in neutral shades but different textures. Like maybe a mirrored chest with a gourd shaped lamp in a crackle glaze with a silk or burlap shade. Then an elaborately framed piece of art or mirror that's lost some of it's backing . It's all about textures and finishes when your staying neutral
