Consider purchasing an armoire and putting all your electronics inside. Eliminate the tv shelf and the organizer below it. Consider purchasing two wing chairs in a pattern and putting them in front of the window. Move the square table between them and eliminate the wicker piece. You need art and lots of it. Let your personality show. It's your private space.

All great ideas from lucidos. Work with what you have & edit out what is not needed.

I luv the bedding - the colour & the design are great.

Have fun, and make it your own!

Can you just put the dresser under the tv? Move the white bench so it is centered with the window, as was suggested. Will make a big difference in the feel of the room with small changes like this. Is the table by the wicker bench taller than one of the ones by the bed? Switch it out if it is....hard to tell in the pics.

I think the key for improving a lot of this is in symmetry: A bed always looks best flanked by a PAIR of bedsides and a PAIR of lamps, the bench will look better in the CENTRE of the window, and if money is available then swap the three pieces of furniture opposite your bed for a single large piece to give a bit of height.

I'd also like to see some artwork or a mirror above the bed. In keeping with the lovely jewel tone of the bedcovers, a gold or silver-toned frame would look great. You could get away with something quite ornate for a luxurious feel.

I would either do a picture grouping over the bed, or find a large print with the purples and neutrals in it. You need larger bedside tables, don't need to match them, with larger lamps. Best if the lamps are the same height on either side of bed. I would paint the walls a neutral in a greyed tone, a bit darker so the woodwork shines, with dove white woodwork. I would put wood blinds on the windows, along with window treatment being classic panels on the windows, probably a tone darker than the walls . The chest is fine, but place either a large mirror or picture, or possibly the tv over it to add height. Take out all of the other pieces in the room, and add a large piece of furniture to one of the other walls. Bring in a couple of small chairs which is either neutral or fabric with some purple and neutral, if you have room, possibly place where you can set the chest between the chairs.

I vote for a beautiful armoire to hide the TV and provide a focal point on the wall opposite the bed. Hang a large mirror over the bed and/or the dresser to reflect light, and a soft, colorful throw rug beside the bed to cozy up the space. The white wicker bench feels out of place with the formal furniture. Eliminate it and replace it with an upholstered chair. Great start! Just needs some de-cluttering and finishing touches to make it an awesome retreat.

Do you need a tv in the bedroom? If not, find another spot for it. I love my tv, just not in the bedroom, I find it interferes with my sleeping pattern, I sleep better without it. The ideas above are excellent!
