You could consider a paint color that is in the same family as your carpet, but a lighter or deeper shade and use bedding and accessories to impart the earthy feel you like. Here are a couple of nice examples of the concept.





You could also select your bedding and pull a color from it for your wall color. In the below, photo it looks like the duvet informed the rich chocolate accent wall.

Your carpet looks like it has some yellow in it so I would go with something along the lines of a light olive green similar to the color in your bedspread.

Go to a paint website, and go through the colors. When you find some you like, buy a sample along with some small pieces of sheetrock or poster board so you can paint it, and move it around your room to see how it looks with your carpet, furniture and the available light.
