If it's going to sit in front of the wallpaper [love it BTW!], I'd go with either red or gray.

I agree with the red, and if you have the time, black on the table top. I have a similar one that is red with a black cushion.

Maybe a darker gray that is in the drape. Is it placed in front of that wallpaper?
Or black, if it works with nearby items too. Black can be added to nearby items to have continuity of color. Black is also very dramatic. If you choose other colors, I would want to see those colors nearby.

In another direction, I think I'd also like an unexpected punch at the entry. Add some other color that is nearby to the table top. Depends how bold you want to go.

I would say matt black and distress it by sanding edges and places where it would naturally wear then stain over top to give an aged look with a dark stain

I would choose one of your inside colors. I favor red with your "gray" patterned wallpaper - the red would really pop. Change your vase to white or hammered metal. Like the idea of a geometric print for the cushion. It would add another interesting pattern, but would not clash with your wall design.

My grandmother had a gossip bench just like this. It was black and adorable. Hers also had a distressed look, but I think that was just from wear! Ps- a colorful vintage phone would look amazing on this!

I would love to see it in a bright emerald green or turquoise, you could add any other color, black,pink,red,yellow,silver... cushion/vase etc to make it a real feature

I think glossy black would be fantastic. If you want a pop of color do it with an accessory on the shelf. But, make it larger than the vase you currently have so that it makes more of a statement.

I have one like this in red right now and I'm planning on changing the color. It's stored in my basement.
