I am in the middle of a refurbishment project of a Victorian terrace house (in London) and would appreciate views on the currently proposed layout of the raised ground floor which includes the kitchen, dining area and living room (plan attached).

1. The order is perhaps unusual, with the living area toward the garden, kitchen in the centre, and dining room toward the front of the house. I believe that would work for me, but wonder if anyone has practical experience with a similar layout?

2. The current kitchen lay out: I am wondering whether I should remove the "L" shape and just have two parallel running worktops, toward the back of the wall and the island, as well as keeping the kitchen wall in the middle section of the house only (currently it crosses slightly into the dining room area). The advantage would be to make the whole room feel bigger, and it would allow to switch the dining area/lounge area (both areas would be similar size).
However, it may make the kitchen smaller...too small? Do you feel the kitchen space is currently sufficient?

3. Currently, I am separating the kitchen from the dining area and the entrance door with a 1200mm wall at the back of the "L". Room height is 2900mm. It may feel more open if I left it just at worktop level without the backsplash?
