Missing in action for a few hours while I ran errands for my mother. It actually turned out to be a great trip. While I was waiting on her meds I ran to the Restore store and found some beautiful solid doors for my son to use for countertops in his "new" (omg it will be a project) house.

indomom, im lmao at my soon to be "classy bedroom" thread. some peeps naturally exude class, while others like me, exude "quirk". It will be a challenge to keep my craziness out of the bedroom for sure. i will need a heavy hand helping me out, laying down the law....you know like telling me "No, absolutely not! you cannot put that spider monkey smoking a cigarette picture above the bed!"

toatsmcgoats - stumbled across this thread after seeing your granite seam thread. The tree art you made for the landing is FANTASTIC!!!!!!
I have a very visible seam in my natural quartzite. I knew it would be there since the slab wasn't long enough for a single piece. My quartzite has big open movement, so the seam is very visible! Even though I knew it would be there the seam bugged me at first, but after a year, I hardly think about it. I loved that quartzite so much, I wanted it even with its seam. It sounds like they're going to work on yours, but even if it doesn't improve significantly, I think you'll quit staring at it soon. It's a pretty granite choice!

Yeah, but comes with catering exclusivity...can work much from current kitchen. And easy to replicate the brand

Dark is beam. I cut the stencil in half to make it easier...could have reused, but no need to.

I love your place and your creative.
My advice is to have it as an art gallery. ( I think that's what you where doing anyway)
Why not paint the wall a neutral colour, and install wall washers or track lighting that can be adjusted.
This way you never have to make a definitive decision about what goes on the walls. If you simply can't stand something anymore take it down. If you you find or make something new you have an art gallery to display it.
There are lots of idea books about gallery wall colours if a neutral off white is too plain for you.
