Simplify. Go with a color of the granite in a glossy finish. Your cabinets and granite have a lot going on as it is.

I like dclostboy's glass subway tile choice except I would go with Dune color;)

I think a Champagne color glass tile would look great and really update your kitchen. Let us know if we can get you a few samples for comparison.

I would keep it as simple as possible, the granite is already very busy. I like the idea of the subway tiles noted above.

Thank you all for the advice! I agree completely I need it to stay simple. I love the glass look. Curious on thoughts as my tiles are a natural travertine stone. Should I bring the stone up or not worry about it and go for the glass?

Bringing the floor up,would look very matchy matchy...but consider it in the selection of glass. The color should compliment both horizontal surfaces in your kitchen.

I think you were suggesting possibly using your floor tile for a backsplash, right? If so and if the floor tile is really good with the granite, I think that could be a good thought. That's what I did in our kitchen and it definitely simplifies things ever so much. When you have tile rather than wood floors, I think it becomes harder to choose a backsplash because you can introduce a clash that wouldn't exist if you had wood floors. Do you have extra floor tile you can prop up there to see how it looks? Does your floor tile come in a smaller size, more appropriate for backsplashes? The floor tile looks nice and neutral and if it looks really good with the granite, your kitchen would go from too busy to a very simple, clean look.

Thank you again for some great advice. Now at least I have a good direction to go when I head out to get samples.

I will defiantly be considering all surfaces for keeping this neutral and simple.
