Without knowing your cabinet colors, sink material or what type of flooring you have my ideas may be way off what you are thinking but here's what I see...the Darker Taupe seems to be the most subtle and doesn't compete with your black glass top..it warms up the granite and is neutral so it could be complimented with a wider range of colored accent decor/accessories/textiles. If there's not a lot of natural light In your kitchen this color be my choice.
The lighter taupe( far right) will brighten up your granite but it will also make your black stove top more noticeable...I would use this if there is a lot of natural sunlight and your appliances(if all black) were evenly spread throughout the kitchen. Since this appears to be a grey taupe it is neutral enough to carry a variety of accent colors as well.
If you really like the rust and reds in your granite and want the granite veining to really come alive then what appears to me as a soft terra cotta would do ( this comment box covers the picture...so I'm typing this from what remember of the 3 colors)...it will neutralize your black stove top a bit but will offer a limited color choice for accenting decor/etc.

The far left is the best option and I agree with Designing Richmond about removing the 4" backsplash of granite. You will be happy you did!

The one on the left would work the best. You can change it up with a brick pattern and work in 1 by 1 glass tiles in an accent color.

I prefer the lightest colored one as I'm not sure the other two colors are close enough, but that could be my monitor......

I like the left color too, but go with your heart.

I agree with Marcelite about factoring in the light and other elements. The Left has the closest color match but the far right would work and be better for adding brightness. Let the stone pattern take center stage by keeping the backsplash a sleek solid color.

HI -- Then go black . Ok then the one on the left . It might look alright over the 4 inch strip if you have to leave it . I still think black would look awesome ! Have you tried to get the same granite as the counters for the rest of the backsplash ???

Color on left or right would be nice. I think it is a fad to not have the 4 to 6 inch vertices granite piece. It is way more practical to have it. Easier to clean for sure. Less of a grout line. And yours looks nice under the window

The left and I would pop off the 4 inch granite peice and tile from counter top always looks nicer , good luck

Why not try a gray subway instead.

The left one is a blend and will give more unity to the overall design. It will what I call " read" better visually. The other two will draw attention to the backsplash itself away from your beautiful granite rather than enhance it. Nice project.

For your kitchen I like the 4 inch granite backsplash because of how it looks between window and countertop.

I was just thinking about Color and Advice about color... I know every computer monitor is different, and we all are seeing a variation of the same! Some computers will show more grey.. others more yellow etc... If you have a great graphics card... yours will look better. I have a desktop and a lap top... the color is so much better on my laptop because I paid for a high end graphics card. I'm viewing this on my desk top.

So... I was looking over the comments and saw several liking the tile on the right... and I'm thinking to myself ick! then I realized... I am not seeing what they are. ON their monitor it just may look great and the one on the left looks Icky to them! Monitors are all different - it is truly impossible for us to make a definitive evaluation on color remotely!

Hmmm... Food for thought!
