I love the stained glass cabinets! Classic look. Right now my current cabinets are cherry with pewter handles. I like the way they match the stainless appliances, but I would definitely change the counter-tops to granite if I had the opportunity.

Organic is an option we all tend to lean toward. My cabinets are made from local denim (beetle kill) pine...

Kathy East, beautiful, and how wonderful those pines 'live on'. I lived in SE AL for almost 20 years and it was hurtful to watch those beautiful Alabama pines die off to the beetles.

I like the white modern glossy look but I don't know how inviting that would be to do any serious cooking in. The upside is it would help with my diet.

I prefer cabinets and drawers that are in the euro style (because everything else is pain to keep clean!)

I love to have cabinets in 2 different styles. For our remodel we chose glossy white for the upper cabinets and walnut for the bottom cabinets. It goes well with the walnut table we made and the more contemporary style of the kitchen.

Wood, no detailing whatsoever on the doors and drawer fronts with grooves in the sides/bottoms with no hardware. Would love the wood to be stained to bring out the natural coloring. I have no images because have never seen them in Home Depot/Lowes. I've seen the wood as flat pieces sold at flea markets/outdoor markets for table tops.

Our cabinets are pretty standard. We have recently painted the handles black which looks a lot better. We also want to have at least one or two of them with a glass front

I had trouble with voting between the gorgeous Stained glass and the Reclaimed Wood... I have these new when I bought this house "plastic ones. I would like them if they were not garbage. Love the white, just don't like the fact that they melt from the coffee maker or toaster. lol

I voted for the reclaimed wood.
cheriemillsaps: do you have pics? Your kitchen sounds intriguing.
bevballew: Yes, leave the cabinets as they are. They are beautiful.
trinasammy: *sigh* Your kitchen is beautiful.
I love natural materials. I have cherry cabinets, hickory floor, cosmic gold granite counters.

Currently we are remodeling and adding a 20x55 foot addition to our home so I was fortunate to design my kitchen with everything I have always wanted... Reed Glass cabinets with puck lights, 6 burner gas range and my apron sink. Cabinets antique white with black stain.

I love the warm look of the stained glass cabinets and how they are airy without being completely open (who keeps everything neat and matching enough for open cabinets and shelves to actually look good in real life?) We went with tall white cabinets to make a smallish kitchen with only one small window seem bigger and brighter.

I don't like anything too fussy. I prefer a huge pantry; less bending over to retrieve pots from the back of the cupboard.

Thank you Marjie. your compliment and comment help a lot in my decision since I like both ideas. I think I will just put black or stainless appliances. Maybe a darker countertop. Thank you very much!

I love white shaker cabinets with some glass. Recently, however, I have come to love white cabinets on top & another painted color on the bottom. I saw a kitchen like this in Houzz with beautiful gray-blue bottoms. Our new cabinets & appliances are not even in yet (white shaker) so I expect it's too soon to think about a major color shift. In a few years...maybe. Right now I just want to move in, get settled, and learn to love our new place.

WHITE! Always fresh ... use colour in flooring, back splash and counter tops. It is the most versatile if you get bored ... you can always make changes with paint ... the most economical of all changes.

My wife and I are looking to have the cabinets in our kitchen replaced here in the next couple months, and we really love the idea of chalkboard doors on the cupboards that you mention here. It would be a great way to organize and then plan meals. And it would be fun for the kids to draw on them.

I like elements in each of them but I had to say other. I love garage door opening cabinets with a mix of metal, glass and wood.

Currently I have prefab white laminate cabinets that are starting to show the wear and tear. Luckily hot glue, super glue and spray paint keep the flaws hidden. One day they will be replaced.

We just moved in a few months ago. This is our new house construction kitchen that I designed/decorated myself. It may not be real easy to tell, but I went with Cambria Minera countertops with gray glass subway backsplash and a mosaic behind the induction cooktop. As you can see, I ended up only using one glass cabinet door set, over the beverage center.

Love the traditional, elegant look of appliances with panel inserts to match the cabinets. They hold up well and give your kitchen a polished look.

I feel like you can make any type of cabinet work, though I am a little bored seeing all the white cabinets, they still look great. Here's a partial kitchen pic of our cabinets that we put in last year. It was taken in the midst of putting up the backsplash.

Mine are cherry with whiskey black trim--love them just as much now as 6 years ago when they were put in. Twice I've gone back to the store and looked at what they have available...and I would still choose what I have.

Yes, white is pretty, cheerful, bright, and I'm always drawn to it--but practically speaking, I would tire of it, and especially tire of trying to keep them clean. Besides, I love natural--natural wood, natural stone--not fake, not painted, just the real deal. So no painted cabinets for me. (Maybe I'll change my mind in 20 or 30 years, but I am not holding my breath on that one.)

=-( My house isnt done being built to post a pic. White shaker cabinets, white marble counters, carrara herringbone backsplash, stainless farmhouse sink. Matching island. Natural bamboo flooring. Teal is our accent color, with beach vibes. You'll just have to imagine!

We build three years ago. I designed my own kitchen, and went with white beadboard cabinetry; light and bright! As you can see, there are two islands, stainless steel farm sink, work sink on the back island which I LOVE, Cambria counter tops which I love; no maintenance and nonporous. All GE Monogram appliances. Induction cooktop with traditional checkerboard tile done in shades of blue. Large pantry which I use every square inch of! Micro/convection and traditional ovens. The floors are wood look, but easy maintenance porcelain. Only went with one glass cabinet for everyday beverages, right above beverage refrigerator. I considered bar stools with backs, but this kitchen goes right into a very large Great Room and looks straight at a very large TV on the wall above the fireplace; the stools looked silly sticking up over the top of the counter. The kitchen seems to be a gathering place for all to enjoy!
