Pillow (covers) from etsy.com. I love the variety available and I change covers for the seasons. Since we are in a smaller condo, the extra covers are small and easy to store. I have also been going crazy (really!) for original ACEO's (art cards) on EBAY and etsy. So fun and again, easy to store for seasonal changes.

I used to buy blankets constantly. I had SO MANY, but I eventually donated a lot of them to goodwill. Hopefully, they are keeping some people warm now.

IKEA furniture. I know its not highly thought of, terribly good quality or likely to be worth a lot in years to come but I just love it. The only major piece of furniture we have that is not from IKEA is our king sized bed. I have been able to decorate whole rooms for a small cost and I just love putting it all together - it gives such satisfaction!

Cute little drinking glasses (i.e., juice glasses.) Irresistible.

I can't resist a beautiful lamp, mirror or chair. I have too many I'm afraid. Lately, I've been on a curtains/drapes spree. I love to change/ decorate and mix & match said items throughout my home.

Clocks

My Mother had an owl collection she amassed over the years-everything from a Lladro piece to inexpensive trinkets from her grandkids. I inherited it when she passed away, and, as I gave several of them back to her grandkids, started to add to it again. Now, owls are very much "in" again, so every time I see one, I try to find a spot in my Mom's curio that houses them. My friends and family have jumped in as well, and my biggest fear is that my house will sprout wings late some night and carry me off to the forest !!!!

An odd juxtaposition of Waterford crystal and red ware, Danish silver ( Georg Jensen) and British antique furniture. But it works and it makes me smile. Throw in a little MacIntosh and my home tells my story.

I have a bowl fetish...serving bowls, soup bowls, pasta bowls, bowls for condiments, cereal bowls, decorative bowls, plain old pyrex bowls, mixing bowls, stainless steel bowls, tiny bowls, large bowls, glass bowls, pottery bowls, wooden bowls....

Throw pillows, duvet covers, and doormats. The doormat thing is weird I know.

Picture frames. I didn't realize how bad my "problem" was until we moved last year and we had boxes and boxes of picture frames. But you know what? My home is filled with art and great photos of great memories, so no apologies here!

Small mirrors, clocks, lamps, and anything with birds!

Sheet sets. Though I have had to curtail and get rid of most since moving to this condo with no linen closet. I cleaned out, donated 9 sets of sheets I had for one bed. That is on top of the 4 sets I kept. Really, who needs 13 sets of sheets. And I only ever used 2, but I loved seeing them folded nicely in the linen closet - along with their cousins the towels. That's another story.

Art.
...and vases/planters, particularly if they're containers originally meant for another purpose. Oh, and anything of beauty that has to do with the animal kingdom, particularly rabbits and elephants. Better still if they're antique.

lol for me it's MCM chairs... I counted and I have 28... 14 are matching dining chairs :) I can't seem to pass on a great teak chair. Eventually I'm going to have to sell a few ;)

Cobalt blue glassware!

Great room...love the mirror with so much texture. I love pillows and am an avid collector of vintage textiles and brooches. I also inherited my mothers tea cup collection and think collections, mixed in with some modern decor, add warmth, charm and personality to a room.

Anything with a cute Westie on it or a nice looking horse. I am particular about how it looks it must be a nice depiction of them. Between them and most constant need to change the look of my rooms, what don't I buy. Currently loving wall stickers too.

Lamps and mirrors. At one point I had collected 7 mirrors above and beyond what was already in use, and currently have 8 + lamps not in use. It's a sickness.

Regarding bedding, since moving to our new home, we all limited ourselves to at least 2-3 duvet/bed sheet sets, when it is time to change one , we buy a new set.

I like to go to furniture stores just to see what new items they have brought in and some I love very much and would love to have but no place for them. However, if there is really something I love to buy and we don't have it, I buy it. My last two purchases where a curio corner cabinet which I needed for a beautiful gift set of glasses ( saved up for it for months!) and a new computer desk which I deserved since my last one I had for years!! The new one is classy.

Collecting things for my kids.

I love chairs. I have bought and replaced so many chairs over the years. I even have chairs in storage. Let's just say that their is never a shortage of chairs in our home.

I like tin cans with lids that candy, tea, coffee and other food comes in. I have some beautiful old cans I've been given over the years along with stuff I've found on ebay and a the thrift store.

I have 175 printed vintage tablecloths -- I love the vivid colours and designs. Unfortunately, they no longer fit in with my home's style, but I just can't get rid of them. I have stopped buying them though.

Foo dogs, mid-century pottery, and old tea caddy boxes.

@Charmean. I have been looking for a Foo dog, but can't find one in any stores I have looked for nearly a year. I think I will have to order one on line, but I am afraid I might want more than one.....

Condomary...eBay is your friend. Plug in foo dogs in the eBay search bar and you will have many choices.

Comforters, duvets, and quilts are my vice! I change my bedding at least once a month and have about 6 stored away. I'd have more, but they take up a lot of room, so I donate several each year. But then I buy at least 2 new ones each year--after all, everyone really NEEDS new bedding in spring and fall, right?!

Rabbits and birds, all things that I have plenty of already but I just adore them all in any way, shape or form. I try to resist, especially this time of year, but so many are just too wonderful to pass up.

unwantedadvice -- I'm like you with the rabbits. I used to work for a TV station, and the crew would come to my place to shoot the Easter programming promo, because I had so many rabbit "props" to choose from. The best one was when we animated my (real) house rabbit Foster so that he appeared to speak -- so cute!

Art! My home looks like a gallery. I like paintings and drawings by people I know, but I love a wide range of art work.

No. I have pretty strong self control. Maybe it's a result of shopping for clients often.

Thai silk is my kryptonite. I have nothing else in this theme (very European/sleek finishings) but Thai silk always finds its way home with me. I have boxes of the stuff just waiting for an excuse to come out of hiding. The oranges are to die for - and I HATE orange! That's how bad the obsession has become.

I'm so eclectic...art(I have originals and prints), glass art, mosaic, seashells, rocks, fossils, books, nautical items, items with leaf designs, unique lamps. My favorite lamps are my Arts and Crafts Tiffany lamps in my family room. I also use different types of baskets as storage containers.

Dining room table themes. Tablecloth, napkins, rings, decorative items. I change my dining room out every month. We plan on downsizing, so now I'm buying stuff for my daughters.

Over the past few years I have made a conscious effort not to collect a lot of 'stuff'. Oh boy, is that hard when there is a good towel sale! That said I am known for buying small artworks when I travel. My most recent purchase being a blue watercolour of Dubrovnik done by a local artist. So much nicer than the commercial tourist tat. Most are not framed and sit in folders in the cupboard but to have all the same.

Pottery! I'm a potter myself so I have tons of my own work. But as if that isn't enough, I collect pottery from other artists too. But I use it for my everyday dishes, which makes it functional, which makes it ok...right? I have to be a designer to support my pottery habit.
