Hello! We recently bought a home that has required, and still requires, a bit of work. We feel that we made a mistake when we put our carpet runner on our steps. We regret that we didn't have the wood of the steps and staircase refinished. We put down a gorgeous, and expensive runner, and would love to still use the runner, which is practically new. Now that we have a beautiful carpet on the steps, you can see now more than ever that the wood should've been refinished. Can we remove the carpet, refinish the steps and put the carpet back down?
