Rug to which wall? We live on Miami so we don't need it for cold feet.

I would run it along the side of the bed rather than the bottom, or remove it.

Here's an idea to consider -- turn the rug around the other way and run it alongside the side of the bed we can see in the photo. (I assume that's the side she uses to get in/out of bed?) Put some of the rug underneath the bed.

Another idea...leave the rug as it is...just push it underneath the bed so that a little of the rug shows on either side (the majority of the rug will be hidden underneath the bed).

What about the green? Is it too classy with the robins egg blue?

I think the colors look fine! Place the rug underneath her bed so there's a bit of rug showing on each side...if there's room, move the chest to the center of the wall for balance and put those two art pieces very close together over the chest. Then place a chair where the chest is currently located.

The colors of the walls, curtains and rug are all in the bedspread...and work well together.

There isn't enough space for the chest to move over. I'll try pushing the rug back. Should I center in the room? Then most will be under the bed with some sticking out to each side and a little at the foot of the bed.

Have you tried putting the dresser on an angle?

I have a 5x7 under a double bed in a guest room and it works. Just make sure there is 18" of rug showing on each side of the bed and at the bottom. It looks about like that in the third pic.

Yes, looks fine but please make sure the amount of rug showing on the two sides of the bed is exactly the same. Off topic, but would you consider moving the mouse art to the right so there is only about 4" (or slightly less) between the two art pieces?

If I move the rug centered with the bed it will be right up against the dresser. Is that weird ?

I would definitely center it. It's fine if it goes right to the dresser leg and if centering it makes it go under that dresser leg, then maybe pull it under the bed just an inch or so further so you won't have that problem. I really think it needs to be centered under the bed:) Another kind of interesting option would be to angle the rug so the only part of the bed that is on the rug is the bottom left. Let me look for an example.

Love the angle. At this point though, I'm worried about the age of this child and if we're creating a tripping hazard!
