You don't mention the paint color, but assuming the trim is white, I'd embrace a navy/white/wallcolor/woodtone/silver-and-or-gold color palate, and find some graphic but classic patterns -- thinking Ralph Lauren meets Aristotle Onassis.

Depending on your wallcolor, your drapes could be white, woodtone, or navy and white. Have any photos?

Hmmm, that is a tricky starting point for you, having to work with the navy and topaz blue, and blinds set inside the window about a foot lower than where they'd look best up and behind a pair of silk curtain panels.The first thing that comes to mind seeing these photos is the set of pix in this current Houzz thread:

And while I wasn't picturing the topaz as the variable in my color scheme above, I still think you can pull this together through adeherance to a rather unusual palate. It will certainly be the bedroom no one else has!

What on earth is that to the right of the bed -- another bed? Couch? I'd be tempted to drape the entire wall behind the bed, and open them at the windows, having a small bureau under each window as a night table, perhaps. Bit of a head scratcher to start with, but you'll get there.

THANK YOU FOR VALIDATING the first idea I had! I think I may advise approximating the size of the large window and draping the windows by the bed as two large windows...I believe they will be drawn at all times anyway.
I would have advised cream wood blinds and a wall color not even in the same stratashere as what is there! There is a soft blue gray in the rug they may have been trying to approximate. It's a MISS!
