I no longer have cats or dogs, one down six to go.

I like to cook for guests but I don't like to cook for my family on an ordinary day. What I don't like even more is to decide what we have for dinner night after night.

Just coz there are so many dishes all the time. The chore never seems to end.

Laundry, I've hated it from my early days of going to the laundromat once per week. I have a beautiful front loading set in my home. Haven't had to haul laundry in 25+ years. Still hate doing it.

I hate the noise of the vacuum - all vacuums. If anyone knows of a vacuum that isn't headache producing and I can afford, since I'm now retired, please let me know!

I changed my mind ... suzanne, I don't like to cook because I have to everyday. I like to cook and enjoy it more for guests much more than for myself and hubby. The meals are different. I cook everyday, hardly eat out because of hubby's schedule. So it's a treat to go to a restaurant now and then. so, you reminded me that cooking is my least favorite chore rather than cleaning the light fixtures that I mentioned earlier : )

I think we're going to spring for a wall-hung toilet in our upcoming bathroom remodel, and epoxy grout for the floor & shower tiles. I'm looking for a shade of grout that exactly matches the grey-brown-black it would turn after a few years anyway. Now if I can come up with a shower enclosure that won't get soap scum....

Dusting, when you own a pet. Gardening when the average summer temp is well over 100F. And the monotony of cleaning the same rooms again and again and again....

No more mowing the lawn and now we live in an association maintained property!

Bathroom, I really dont like this job, cleaning the sink after everyone has brushed their teeth,also cleanig up the hair in the shower drains,terrible !!!!!!!!!

I'm lucky enough to have a maid every other week. However, she does not pay my bills, which I find to be my least favorite thing since my husband died. With three dogs, I've learned to let occasional dust and hair go. I love my cordless vacuum!

All of these seem equally undesirable to me lol but the winner has got to be cleaning the bathrooms. Ugh! I'd love to say au revoir to that chore :)

I don't mind most chores, but I hate dusting the most! My daughter will tell you I love to clean, that isn't true! But, I do love having a clean, pristine, organized home- so, I clean. Nature of the beast.

I very much dislike unloading the dishwasher, in fact I am quite sick of kitchen messes, dishes etc. I cook everyday, and I wouldn't have it any other way, however, I would like the cleaning angel to swoop down on my kitchen every night, and clean it while I am sleeping. There really isn't any other solution! However, I actually enjoy most every other home task. It's cleaning the kitchen when you know that it will not last more than an hour that has a tendency to wear one down!

heywatch- I agree 100%! Cleaning the kitchen seems such a thankless job as it's just a mess right away again!

When I was a newly wed way back in the 1960's, I wouldn't clean the toilet in our married student housing apartment...my husband did it! A couple of years later, after we moved to another rental, we had a baby and that changed my outlook on many things...but I still HATE to clean the bathrooms.

Would love to never have to clean blinds or shutters again!

I do not mind washing but hate folding an putting away clothes.

Food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping). Washing up. Cleaning ANYTHING!!

dusting! I hate dusting. It's so putzy. And I live on a dirt road with a gravel driveway--there is always dust. arrrrgh!

Bottom line when I start working again will hire a cleaning person. I think that my childhood traumatized me.

Love to vacuum and fold towels! Hate to clean showers and mopping.

I agree with everyone -- on everything. And what about pulling out appliances? Under the frig, stove, washer and dryer? Ranks right up there with that spot on the floor behind the toilet!

i hate cleaning the bathroom. I live in a house full of males who stand up to pee. I am NOT the one making the mess so shouldn't be the one cleaning it!!

I HATE Dusting and litter boxes! I will vacuum all day.. Heck, I'll even make house calls to come vacuum. I love to vacuum..nothing tidies up a room faster.

Dishes, always dishes. No matter what, there are always dishes. Cleaning? Once a week or when I feel like it. Lawn? Once a week. Many other chores, once a week. Dishes? Several times a day!! AGH!!

Ironing! Don't mind the laundry so much! It's just the iRon!!

Would someone please invent a self cleaning bathroom!!! I love a clean bathroom and was a housekeeper for a gentleman that had me clean his everyday... but if I could cross my arms and blink like Jeannie I'd be fine... Showers and tubs really bum me out...soap scum!!! the toilet ranks equally... I really do not like having to clean them!

I love ironing and dishwashing, but hate dusting, vacuuming and, let us not forget the bathroom ..... ugh ...

Cleaning the bathroom is definitely the worst!

Dusting I have 3 small dogs so live in a dusty home.

I seem to go through ALOT of vacuums since my old Electrolux died several years ago at the ripe age of 20 something. What brand vacuum do you suggest? I'd like a GOOD vacuum that's not going to die in a years time. My little Swiffer is much better than hoover, etc.

The bathroom! I absolutely hate cleaning the bathroom. I do like to cook and we have a dishwasher but I've yet to find a way to get hubby to unload. I actually like loading it because I'm so good at it. I can get lots in it and it always comes out clean so, why can't I get him to do that one thing in the kitchen?
