I see that you raised the ceiling height, but is the ceiling above your ISLAND still 8'? I bought the same pendant lights to go above my island, but they just didn't look right from my 8' ceiling - interfered with sight lines (we are tall). Then again, I notice yours are spaced out further - maybe that helps?
