The black would add a sophistication and updated look.

I agree with the ideas for the dark. I'm painting all my outside window sash Sherwin Williams Caviar. Similar to the BM, but just a tad darker...

I also have a black & white bath too...

Black & white are just a classic mix. You can add any other colors you wish by changing out linens.

Either of these 2 caviars would look great with a yellow....a minty green.... or even reds, blues or even purples.

Just an FYI...dark shades do not make the room look smaller...it actually adds drama.
