How high (above the counter) should wall mounted faucets be installed? How far from the backsplash should the end of the faucet protrude? What should be kept in mind to avoid splashing? Counter is standard 22 inches. We are planning regular undermount sinks.

Generally your faucet will (or should) have a leaflet of installation instructions in it. Try to have it ordered and on hand before the plumbing is roughed in.
Barring that, I like to have the end of the spout at least 3" higher than the countertop when you have an undermount sink. It's nice if you can have the spout centred right over the drain hole (never any splash possibility then), however don't "build it out" from the backsplash in order to make that happen. Unless you've chosen an exceptionally round (i.e. "bowl shaped" sink) splashing shouldn't be an issue. If you REALLY want to ensure no splash...overhang the edge of the countertop a bit (1/4" or so) into the sink cutout.

Thanks much for the response. You mention "at least 3 inches". Is a higher number preferred? And what is that number?
We were considering sinks with drain at the back, to allow more storage space in cabinet. I assume in such cases the spout cant be centered right over the drain hole?

Also what is low arc vs medium arc vs high arc?

I tend to like somewhere around 4.5" (give or take .5"). I couldn't be more specific without seeing the actual faucet and sink. The spout usually is centered in a fixed spot (i.e. a fixed distance from the wall)...independent of the sink's drain position.
"Arc" refers to how much curvature the neck of the faucet has. Generally "High arc" faucets are taller than "low arc" faucets. I'm not sure it really applies to wall mounted faucets, but it's definitely a consideration for kitchen faucets (you can get taller pots under a high arc faucet).

What is the maximum height you would recommend for a wall mount kitchen faucet? I am installing the Rohl country collection wall mount and would prefer that the spray hose not drag on the countertop.

I am using a wall mount Goose neck swivel faucet over a 2 cm. undermount apron front sink in a bathroom application, counter height 36". How high should the finish height of the spout opening above the the counter height be?

We followed "Blue Bridge Cabinetry"s advice from above. 4.5 to 5. The faucet I chose is very modern and comes straight out from the wall with just a slight bend. When measuring your installation, don't forget to account for the height and thickness of your counter top, as your sink will be that much higher from the floor as well.

When you say 4.5” from the countertop is that measurement from the bottom of the spout arm coming out of the wall, or the bottom of the end of the tap as it curves? I would love wall mounted taps but I only have 37” to the top of my window sill as its going in front of a window. I’m thinking of having a unit made is it possible to get the taps any lower/closer to the sink or would it look ridiculous? Probably going for an oblong tough type sink

no but it makes sense to have the wall be waterproof or resistant in some way.
