I'm no pro..just a baby , but I think the small table should be closer to the chair so it can be used.

Hi. Didn't see the original post, so I'm not sure of the full extent of the dilemma. From this picture, I'd like to see the back of the sofa facing me (maybe with a narrow console or table behind it with beautiful things on it), and the armchair backed loosely (i.e. not crammed), at an angle into the back right corner. Front of sofa partially on the rug. Coffee table in front of the sofa, and the round table and lamp next to the armchair, on the right. But that's really top of my head and may not be relevant ....

I do hope no more bumping is necessary -- good for you Hanna.

Once you've done that, you may invite me to a little champagne recital. Debussy, perhaps.

Too many postings for one dilemma. This may be a record. And has she returned to any of them for feedback? Arggggggghhhhhhhhh!

I think she got discouraged. She posted 3 or 4 discussions because she thought they weren't posting. Common problem - then they get discouraged. :(

HERE IS GRAMS05'S ORIGINAL QUESTION: This is all furniture I'd like to use, but not sure how to place it. The doorway leading into the dining room is going to be widened, so I will lose the bookshelves on each side of doorway (one in corner might remain). Also, I have a mantle and fireplace that I'm thinking of attaching to long blank wall and maybe putting a bookshelf on each side (then completely removing one in corner).
