Cabinets above breakfast bar.

I am in the planning stage of my kitchen remodel. We will be removing a partial wall above the breakfast bar and may move cabinets to the left; resulting in a similar situation in your photo. My concern is access to the cabinet; especially the left side which is further above the bar. How has this been for the homeowner.

Hi there, sorry for the late response. Many of our kitchen layouts include the upper cabinet over the eating bar. We always use a 180 degree hinge for the door so that a person has full access to the cabinet from the bar side as well. It has gone over very well and we haven't seemed to have any issues with it. I hope this helps a bit!
