Julian Tile Evolve Series

To Jessicatorres: I came to conclusion that these are Nemo Tiles - Convesso White. I actually bought and installed the file, however can't recommend it. Convesso does look good, but have subpar quality

To houzzdb1: I have purchased the Julian Tile Evolve Series which has the same ribbon design. It is superior quality but we are trying to determine the best way to install. How did you get around the issue with regards to electrical? Did you use box outs? We are also having an issue with regards to the edges? May I ask if you encountered the same and if so, how did you approach these problems of install? Any advice from your experience would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help. What about cleaning....any issues? I am close to abandoning the ribboned look (50/50 split) and thinking about installing it as one on top of the other as in a 'wave' look. Any thoughts?

Well, cleaning turned out to be not a problem at all. However, I was underwhelmed with wavy look. You almost can't tell that tiles are three dimensional by looking directly. I installed in the middle medallion similar to Looks interesting however wavy tiles not the best fit for it. I would recommend to make medallion out of flat tiles. Can make interesting contrast

So, I think we have figured out the fix. We are going to box out the electrical so that the electrical face will sit proud of the tiles. Then on the edges, we will edge with 1 1/4" trim in a high gloss white. Thus, in the end we will get that unique ribbon weave look without too much difficulty. I will post pics when it is complete. Who knew such beautiful tile could be so pesky to work with?!

We installed the Anne Sacks tile behind our AGA - looked great - no electrical. Yes - fussier on our island backsplash raised eating bar. 2 plugs to deal, a switch and two side edges. We brought the boxes out so they sat proud of the tile. Worked fine - with a little grout and caulk. The edges we 'mitred' the pieces and put them together to finish the edge - fussy but it worked.

Oh! That worked out very well! I must send this off to my builder! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

to janice scott. I LOVE the julian tile/evolve, can you please tell me where you purchased it from? I only see it in Canada
