Much appreciated. It does look like a higher standard of finish that you don't get from a brush application. I wouldn't be doing it myself but asked the question so i know what i'm looking for when speaking with painting & decorating firms. Can you also tell me if you spray the wainscoting once it's in place or spray the panels etc prior to fixing. I'm not a builder or DIY'er so not too sure...Many thanks

It is definitely better to do any finishing in a spray booth in a dust free environment. Touch ups are easy to complete on site once the installation is complete. You can buy these products pre finished. Thanks again, very helpful. I assume it's just a case of clewing into place as apposed to nails? I've had a look at the link you kindly sent, an excellent range of products! Do you manufacture & distribute? The product and range is fantastic, however in live in Scotland in the United Kingdom therefore not sure how feasible importing would be.

We do not manufacture, just distribute. New England Classic will lay out your space and build to your exact specifications. When it arrives you just assemble on your walls. Very few cuts. We use caulk behind the panels and brad nails in locations that are hidden. There is very little touch up if done properly. Their products are relatively in expensive because they use an MDF core with a hardwood veneer of your choice or none at all if your are painting the product which saves even more money. It's a convenient and affordable option over the hardwood products. All wainscot products, because of the way they are built, should be relatively easy to install with minimal touch up. I will definitely look into this. I've been researching wainscoting for a while now and could only find companies (UK) who provided solid wood option, which was obviously a very expensive option. I'm a big fan of veneered MDF products as they offer great value and finish. I'm also looking for high quality man made external products to replace wood on areas such as decking, balcony, sidings etc as we live very close to the coast therefore need something low maintenance & hard wearing. I have found a few companies who produce products like this but they look cheap and plastic. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Hamish

You could also try a paint that has cabinet and furniture like finish. Benjamin Moore makes a line called advance ( which is the top of the line) in pearl finish. Go to your local BM store and take a look.
