yes. I should have picked a less dramatic pattern. It looked too busy as backsplash.Here is another picture. This is an expensive lesson for me. But I guess I can always change the backsplash. The material is not so bad as countertop. :( Now I am seeking advice for flooring theme, apparently I need help with this.

Hi sadoudou, sad to know about your choice of backsplash. In this case, I would recommend doing a charcoal dark flooring to balance and take your attention off the 'unique' veins of the granite.

thanks, Dytecture. At some point, I think I am going to change the backsplash and only keep the countertop. We are going to have wood flooring throughout the house, and that's going to cost more than the backsplash. would a natural oak look be all right for the moment?

Oh my, go dark on the floors, dark walnut with coffee bean brown tones. No red. I suggest changing the backsplash before more finishes go in. Better to do it while still in construction. So sorry about that, I hope it works out. Good luck. Charmean Neithart
