I built the stone fountain. I used Basalt stone columns. One was pre-drilled for piping, the other was not. I made a recessed pool in my planter using concrete block and pool plaster. I also fabricated the steel background using 1/4" plate steel with 1/4" square rods welded to it, the whole piece expoxied into the concrete block wall. I used a small submersible pump to recirculate the water. The Basalt columns can be found in stone yards, the pump at a hardware store and you can create any backdrop for the fountain.
