New first time homeowner here trying to put some life back into my 1880 Victorian. Although my house has less details, especially around the windows, it shares the same pieces that "support" the overhang. My question is, did you consider painting the inlays on them a secondary color other than black? I cant picture if this would make the house appear too busy (less formal?) Any insight helps. Thanks and great job.

ps. as to some of the other comments: These people can go live at the renaissance faire anytime they want. Modernization doesn't have to mean cold steel and lifeless cement. You did an excellent job, really looks great.
