The sheer descent water features made by Jandy are engineered to give that look. The correct size pipe and correct size pump (typically 2hp) is necessary for their performance.

I'm not sure who addressed our project, they are correct about the sheer descents. This pool also has Badu Swimjet system on the part of the pool (closest to the viewer)

The (3) water features are known as sheer descents, they are controlled by (1) 2 hp pump, which can be adjusted for the amount of flow. There are two 2' and one 3' units.
Each are high grade poly, and each trough is 6" wide and with a connection to the flex pipe to the pump which is located behind the wall. The pump size is based on how wide the sheer descents are, for up to 10' of features, (1) 2hp pump will handle the equal flow. Each sheer descent has a clean protruding lip which is disguised by the overhang of the pool coping.
