Maybe the bed spread, when unfolded, does not show the box spring. Or maybe they ran out if money of decorating the room. You never know, but you do know that they made a bad decision of not covering the box spring. It just messes up the style of the room.

when it was time for us to buy a new mattress, we chose one which doesn’t require a box springs, just a Euro slat system on the bed frame. It’s closer to the floor for us now which makes it safer and easier to arrange bedding!
