Agreed with your husband as the kitchen looks great in the photos.

I agree the kitchen looks good, if you wanted a change and maybe to seep rat the rooms I would add tile in the kitchen and maybe the dinning room. But other than that I would spend your money in another room.

Honestly, the floor color with the cabinet color doesn't work for me, it's too close. I would go dark floors, I love contrast and white or cream cabinets would be stunning. They are nice cabinets but are too close to the floors.

Floors need to be darker . I hate the oak looking. I agree cabinets and floors almost look the same color . Good luck :)

Yes I agree about the brick wall. Either a pure white or a lime wash is going on that or someday Norstone. I heard back from IKEA and the cabinets cannot be painted? So I think we are staying with the floor the way it is. If I went really dark I am worried about how much light that would suck up. While this area is light and airy, the bedroom hallways and the bedrooms are darker. Plus we live in New England and I have to be honest, snow, mud, sand,dirt, grass,and animals will be drug across this floor. Also my husband is pretty strong on keeping it. If we both don't agree and I can't sway him to the "dark" side then it stays. It's not worth the fight. Thanks everyone for your opinions I really appreciate them!
