Hello! We are building a new home, very traditional, and I need to decide Interior door/window hardware. I've already decided to do polished nickel in my kitchen and bathrooms. What to do regarding interior doorknobs and French Doors? I love the idea of polished nickel throughout, but am concerned with scratches, fingerprints, etc. Baldwin makes a "life time finish" for interior knobs, so discoloration isn't an issue. For practicality sake, will I regret doing polished nickel on French door levers and interior door knobs? I will raise three boys here. My designer and architect both feel polished nickel would be great. Could a combination of ORB work? I don't care for the look of brushed nickel or stainless steel. I've already decided to go with white window hardware on the double hungs and few casements so that the hardware will "disappear."
