Yes, I agree that would be very cool, except that we would have very little use for it...a little strange, I know. It would, however, solve the cabinet face problem for that area. So, is there some type of roll out thing that would be attractive with...say wire storage bins, etc?

I had the same situation. My cabinets were white so a friend made a piece that slid right in. There was a shelf on top for cookbooks and the bottom was open so I could tuck the dogs water dish out of the way.

when they took ours out they put in a trash/recycling pullout. the previous owner had just been using the broken compactor as a trash can.
