Thank you both! Yes we are waterfront so I have tried to bring in the blues/greens to accent the waterview in the daytime. We also have small children so the breakable accents are minimized.

The rug in the living room is too small. I think you should use one that is big enough to go under the seating areas. Your space is certainly large enough to accommodate that.

The room can use a big piece of art, or maybe a few put next to each other to fill up the space.

I would use a pretty display cabinet with a large, colorful piece of art, and maybe some sconces.

Your artwork would look great with a picture light over it!

Seaside construction I like the z galleries rug you posted but hate to spend so much when the kids will ruin it, especially under the table. thought on these pillows?

I don't think you want to have two sets of matching pillows. Mix up the patterns and go for an odd number. Although the colors are nice, it would be better to select a rug and then add those other accessories.

I love your space and layout. The kitchen remodel is super nice, and elegant as Seaside Construction mentioned.

I am guessing that the sofa and loveseat stay? A nice sisal rug in the seating area might be nice with the wicker baskets and new valance you described. A fabric ottoman in your accent color(s) could be fun and useful. Then go with a more colorful design in the dining area to pull your teal together. The painting to the right of your patio doors is an excellent beginning point for color in accessories.

Thanks Connie. Yes the couch and loveseat have to stay for now. I like the accents in the picture you posted. The picture to the right of my patio doors was a recent purchase and was the direction I was heading as far as accent colors but I am having trouble finding a nice large piece of artwork for the dining room with similar colors. My thinking was to paint the walls more of a greytone to match the kitchen and incorporate some grey maybe in the rugs. I will take a look at the sisal rug you mentioned. Thanks for the ideas.

It is really hard to see the rug photos that you attached. I was trying to find some items that might work, and came up with a few on overstock. Your kitchen is so very pretty, so I kept that in mind while I 'shopped'.

I can't see your floor plan, but how about exchanging your dining room and living room areas? That way your dining room is connected to the kitchen, and there will be a less obstructed use of your doors going outside.
