Currently building a new home. I want a light granite with speckles of black and gray. The walls will be gray also. The floors will be a very dark wood laminate. I can`t decide between black or white cabinets. The floor plan is wide open concept and there is a lot of natural light so I`m not too concerned about the black being too dark. We have 3 young boys and we cook often on our stovetop. I`m leaning towards black because I feel that it will hide spills/splatter especially around the stovetop. We will also have an island (the same color as the cabinets), and when people sit at an island their shoes hit the wood. I feel the white would appeal more to buyers when we resale one day. I definetely don`t see as many pictures of black cabinets as I do white when looking at design websites. Any advice would be appreciated!
