We recently finished our kitchen renovation. We received a lot of great advice from Houzzers and appreciate that. I hope you like it!

In response to the question about our countertop, we used LG Hausys Aria.

This is the refrigerator we chose:

    https://www.kenmore.com/products/kenmore-41153-25-cu-ft-side-by-side-refrigerator-stainless-steel?taxon_id=131

There is an identical product (as far as I can tell), that I think is put out as an LG brand, if I remember correctly. I purchased the Kenmore because it had the better sale. It is a cheap refrigerator, but we haven't had any issues.

We chose this refrigerator because I personally prefer side-by-side and did not want an ice maker or water dispenser in the door. We drink bottled water anyway and I'd rather have the extra freezer space that NOT having that extra allows.

I also don’t want ice or water in the door. I’d prefer not to have water at all, but geez it’s hard to find fridges without (also counter depth!)
    Thank you :)
Really, really nice! Congrats for all the thoughtfulness that went into it. What microwave did you use?
Just to clarify, this refrigerator is not counter depth. Good luck finding what you are looking for - I think I only came across one or two models that didn’t have ice or water in the door!

    This is the microwave
    https://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeAppliances/Microwaves/Models/R1214T.aspx

I found it here on Houzz. We designed the cabinets around the microwave dimensions to create a more custom look. It’s a bit of a risk though because it’s really the only microwave on the market with these dimensions. But I wanted the microwave off the counter and not over the stove. Not many options for that...

Well done and congratulations! The kitchen looks great and love the details like the crown molding on the cabinets. Excellent use of space and choice of layout as well.

jk767 - The walkway between the wall and peninsula is just under 3.5 feet. It doesn't feel cramped to me.

just out of curiosity, what color of white Did you use on your cabinets. I have been thinking of aria on white cabinets with white subway tile too. LOL! I’m having a hard time deciding on which white paint. I’m also going to use a DeloIan gray for my grout. I have a black fridge, black dishwasher and a stainless vents hood with a stainless and black stove.

I believe it was called frost white by the manufacturer but that probably doesn’t mean much if you are looking at paint colors. It is a true white - not creamy. I actually like the way it contrasts with the cream tones of the Aria.

Thank you. That’s what I was hoping for. I love white cabinets. Is your trim work and ceiling the same white? I want my doors, trim, and ceiling to be the same white as the cabinets. I love your reno

Crown molding was made by the same manufacturer so it is the exact same color. Ceiling is just a regular ceiling paint white - prob Behr from Home Depot if I remember correctly.

Thank you so much for your help. We got the aria today for countertops, SW pure white for cabinets, and I’m going with SW Agreeable Gray for the walls and and sterling oak for the floor. What color handles are on your cabinets. I have always wanted black but I like the color of pewter too. My appliances are a black fridge, black dishwasher, stainless and black stove and stainless vent-a-hood. We are also using brick on a post and using it as part of my back splash with subway tile (still deciding the color of grout). No, I haven’t copied you, these were ideas I already had. I originally really wanted the farm house look but fee like the black/white would be too stark. Your pictures have really helped me visualize my ultimate look. Thank you again!!!

No problem. Glad to help. We’re a couple years out now and still love the kitchen. Our hardware is brushed nickel.

    Where are the cabinets from?

Conestoga cabinets. I included more details in my original comments above

Thanks! I'm currently waiting on a quote from them. CabinetJoint actually. I just looked and now realize those comments were "hidden" but I see them now. Thank you!

If you don't mind me asking, who did you use for the dealer of Conestoga? Did it go well...the design, purchase, assembly and installation? How's the finish holding up? Really appreciate any insight.

I ordered from Jim at Cabinetmakers choice. I can’t exactly remember why I chose them over cabinet joint but I was very happy with Jim. I watched all of the videos on cabinet joints website though!

I did all my own design details but Jim was very helpful in helping with specs. I checked my measurements and order a hundred times lol. Purchase was smooth. I believe delivery time was as expected. A little overwhelming when the pallets were delivered but assembly went well. I think there were one or two things that needed to be replaced but had no problem getting what I needed quickly.

Structurally they are def holding up perfectly. There are a few dings in the finish at this point but I have two small children and we aren’t a very careful household overall. So I can’t say how it compares with any other line but I’ve been happy.

When you assemble just make sure to clean up any excess glue while it is wet. You will never get it off once it’s dry. I have a couple spots you can see glue but is my own fault.

Very helpful thank you so much! I am between Conestoga and Fabuwood. I feel the quality of Conestoga might be more what I'm looking for in my price point. Appreciate the insight.

I was between the same two. Very happy with my choice.

    Your kitchen looks amazing

A beautiful kitchen! Thank you for the pictures! I am painting cupboards and installing new counter tops and have been agonizing over the right quartz. Thought Minuet was the one as I love it in all the photos online but find in a low light, north facing room it just doesn't look the same. I think a warmer quartz would be better As I have a u configuration with a cupboard across form it, something with a very linear pattern would be impossible to match seams. I just came across Aria yesterday and think it may be a better fit. Great to see your pictures of it. Thank you!! E Nichol

    Beautiful kitchen. I’m envious :)

Very nice kitchen. Are the bricks a tile? Would you mind sharing the brand?

The bricks are the backside of a brick fireplace

Smart choices and beautiful results! I agree with mnmamax3. Love the simplicity of the subway tiles with the counters. May I ask what color the tiles are? Also, your Sharp MV fits in the upper cabinet so nicely. According to Sharpe, the depth of the MV is about 15.5". Is the upper cabinet you placed it in 13" or is it a deeper cabinet?

I’ll check for you and post back

    Re backsplash tile:

At Cancos, the Tile is from the “whisper” series and the color is tortora. On the tile itself, the branding is Quintessenza, so I have a feeling it may be sold under multiple names.

    Thank you!

    Re cabinet depth:
All of my upper cabinet boxes are 13.5” deep. So just a little deeper than standard, I guess. The microwave lines up pretty perfectly with the added door depth.
