Wow, that is lovely! How pretty - and bromeliads are so reliable. I always prefer perennials over annuals. Broms look good all year-round. What plants are climbing at the base of the tree? One of them looks like maybe a stack of broms?

Those are fireball red broms climbing up the tree. Gee I'm glad I posted this before Koolkat was told to chop the tree down because nothing would grow under it.

Coffee, how long have the broms been growing there - I'm wondering how long it takes to get that many, LOL. Great collection.

I think that was a forum troll - someone just looking to "stir the pot" - a couple of other forums have had them lately, too.

You could also stick some semiterrestrial orchids amongst them and get a whole other layer of texture and color . The Broms help support them and of course the semi terrets need no media at all, gary
