My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

      Beautiful transformation Sarah! I love it!! You must have had an architect do the design plan?? Did you also use a landscape Co. for your gorgeous garden bed plan or did you design it yourself? Great job, you must be so pleased.

      I did all the design myself. It took a little while to get it just right, especially the steps which were quite a challenge. I also designed the garden and planted everything myself.

      Your home is absolutely beautiful!! You did a wonderful job. My son and his wife just purchased a split level fixer upper. Would you mind sharing what colors you used on the exterior. It really does make it look so clean and updated!

      What an inspiration! We have a split level too and arranging furniture in the living room/kitchen is tough. Can you share more pics of that room?

      Sure, there are some more on my profile too. There was a wall between the kitchen and lounge which we took down to open up the room.

      Was it a lot to have the portico on front done? Or did you do yourselves? Also did you add that huge skylight in dining room?

      It was quite expensive altogether because I had to do extensive foundations but just the porch was $18000. The skylight was here when we bought the house.
