This cozy and inviting Family room is comfortable and more importantly functional. Any guest will feel comfortable and have access to any table for their drinks. Functional design is so important yet beautiful. The calming cream colored walls make everything else bounce perfectly in colors making a soothing and welcoming space. The seating is quality made to sit comfortably. The custom window treatments open up these large windows for beautiful views. Keeps this space airy and open. Lighting is equally balanced also giving enough lighting needed, yet pretty. The mixing of patterned fabrics along with the rug show you it can be done in keeping a good balance. This Family room is warm, cozy, and so pretty!

The bathroom enjoys great views. The standalone white bathtub placed beside a large window is equipped with a Hans Grohe tub filler. The window features a soft custom made roman shade. We furnished the area with a blue patterned garden stool. The bathroom floor features a hexagon mosaic tile. We designed the walnut vanity with a marble countertop and backsplash, and his and her undermount sinks. The vanity is paired with unique mirrors flanked by tiny lamp sconced lighting. This house is discreetly tucked into its wooded site in the Mad River Valley near the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. The soaring roof lines complement the slope of the land and open up views though large windows to a meadow planted with native wildflowers. The house was built with natural materials of cedar shingles, fir beams and native stone walls. These materials are complemented with innovative touches including concrete floors, composite exterior wall panels and exposed steel beams. AV Architects + Builders Location: Great Falls, VA, United States Our clients were looking to renovate their existing master bedroom into a more luxurious, modern space with an open floor plan and expansive modern bath design. The existing floor plan felt too cramped and didn’t offer much closet space or spa like features. Without having to make changes to the exterior structure, we designed a space customized around their lifestyle and allowed them to feel more relaxed at home. Our modern design features an open-concept master bedroom suite that connects to the master bath for a total of 600 square feet. We included floating modern style vanity cabinets with white Zen quartz, large black format wall tile, and floating hanging mirrors. Located right next to the vanity area is a large, modern style pull-out linen cabinet that provides ample storage, as well as a wooden floating bench that provides storage below the large window. The centerpiece of our modern design is the combined free-standing tub and walk-in, curb less shower area, surrounded by views of the natural landscape. To highlight the modern design interior, we added light white porcelain large format floor tile to complement the floor-to-ceiling dark grey porcelain wall tile to give off a modern appeal. The homeowner wished to add some color and style to her very neural and plain family room. We've addressed several components of the room: window treatments, furniture and rug placement and addition of pattern and color. The large bay type window consisted of 6 standard size windows separated by the strips of wall. We've added single width drapery panels in the pattern rich fabric and hung them on medallion type of hardware installed way above the window frame for for extra hight. Two armchairs were placed in front of the bay area to create a perfect place for reading and conversation. Two color rich pillows were added to emphasize the area. DRAPES & DECOR
