Lovely 1950's ranch in old Ortega on the river in Jacksonville. The homeowners opened up the wall to add an island and bring in more light. Walls were taken down from the old laundry and dining rooms to bring in the light from the windows. The laundry was cleverly relocated behind sliding doors. The sink in the island with pendants lights and stools opens this kitchen to the family living areas. Beautifully done update.

Quintessentially Mid-Century, the kitchen sports cozy quarters. "Matthew and I laugh about this," jokes Bobbie. "We always said our next house would have a big gourmet kitchen and a big bathtub, [and] we have neither!" While the Fisher's might appreciate a little more wiggle room, they are in no hurry to make any drastic changes. The cabinetry is original. "When we first moved in, we thought we would definitely need to replace the two burner cook top with a four-burner, but we haven’t," she states. "The kitchen is surprisingly efficient." This project was a 6,800 square foot addition to a 1950s ranch home and it’s loaded with character. The remodeled spaces include new bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, bar, wine room and other living areas. There are some very unique touches found in this remodel such as the custom stained glass windows of the homeowner’s family crest.

This 1950's house was completely renovated. Megan chose light hardwood floors, white walls throughout, matte white Cafe appliances, white oak floating shelves, and gold hardware. Eat-in dining space with gold and white mid-century modern light fixture, tulip table, blush velvet banquette, linen mid-century dining chairs, modern art, and boho pillows and rug.
