From our initial inquiry phone call with Danielle to 7 months later when our extensive renovation was complete and the Maverick Design sign came down (and we were sad to see it go), my husband and I experienced nothing but the best in every aspect of our project. We found Danielle to be the consummate design professional – she expertly managed our vision, our budget, our questions, and our expectations from start to finish. The process-driven approach she takes to renovation design and build meant that our project was treated as unique, which allowed us to put our personal touch and our values into many aspects of the project, while keeping our project contained within the fundamentals of excellent design, and on track, and on budget. Danielle’s communication was proactive, responsive, and clear. She asked lots of questions, and more importantly, she really listened. No decisions were made before we were all on the same page. Her ideas were beautiful, creative, doable, and inspired. She gave us our dream home. And then there’s the team of trusted trades and craftsmen Danielle works with – even our dogs loved having them in the house! Erik of EB Renovations and his crew were the dream team – they took on the renovation our 100+ year old house with such skill that they made it look easy (and we know it wasn’t always easy – our house definitely threw them some curveballs). If the workday started at 8:00 a.m., then the EB van was pulling up at 7:45 to unload and be on the tools by 8:00. We can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the work EB did on our project – from custom crafting a gorgeous barn door from our re-purposed cedar subflooring and a custom hood fan shroud from our new flooring, to moving walls, and everything in between, EB “nailed it” (pun intended). We worked with Danielle (Maverick Design) on a redesign of our basement and office space. She immediately understood what we were looking for and the planning process was easy for us! We had never worked with a designer before and the entire experience was wonderful. From approving furniture/design, to her team facilitating deliveries and tradesmen, it went extremely smoothly. I recently relocated to Victoria and wanted to have several upgrades done to my new place and purchase all new furnishings. I needed help with design concepts and assistance to arrange for contractors and to source furnishings. Danielle Keogan of Maverick Design has handled the design details and also acted as “general contractor” to hire and supervise the needed tradespeople, including painters, carpenters and electricians. Danielle has provided options, alternatives and budgets for my consideration and discussion. She then implemented the agreed plan by arranging for the purchase of materials, the hiring and supervision of tradespeople, and the sourcing, delivery, installation and assembly of furnishings. I would not have been able to manage this without her help. Danielle and her staff have managed so many details in my absence. They have been highly reliable, dedicated, and accessible throughout. They are a pleasure to work with.

Maverick Design came to the rescue. We are adding a third floor to our house and I was feeling overwhelmed with the design plans as this is all new to me. We initially had another designer, but none of the designs were suitable. Discouraged, we were referred to Danielle as a design consultant. When we initially met for our consultation, Danielle asked me leading questions to get to know our needs and vision for the third floor and to pinpoint what we really wanted. Quickly, she came back to me with a couple of beautiful options. I felt a huge relief. Both options were clean and met all of our needs, with one being more conventional, and the other more innovative. We really appreciated being presented with different options, as well as creative and unique ideas. Danielle’s calm presence, her strong knowledge, and her experience gave me the confidence to decide on a design and move forward. From there, she was able to guide me through the process, welcoming my many follow-up questions, bringing our attention to ideas and details that we would not have thought of on our own, and keeping it simple yet insightful every step of the way. We felt heard and taken care of by Danielle, and this in return saved us from making some costly mistakes. Danielle not only has the expertise, she has an innate ability to conceptualize stunning designs that meet her client’s needs. We will definitely come back to Maverick Design for our next reno. When we were considering renovations, a trusted tradesperson recommended talking with Danielle Keogan and Maverick Design. We were extremely impressed by the elegance and simplicity of the realized designs shown on her website. We met Danielle, discussed what we were seeking for our kitchen and dining area, and she soon proposed a striking yet responsive conceptual design that made a much better use of our space. She encouraged our active engagement in selecting the appliances, materials, colours and detailing that would best transform the space into one where we would want to spend a great deal of time by ourselves and entertaining. She listened carefully to our views and integrated these into the final design. She ensured that decisions were taken in a timely manner so that all materials would be ready when needed. When it came time to do the build, she drew upon her network of skilled trades women and men, who worked together seamlessly in their tasks to deconstruct, reconstruct and beautify our house. Danielle and her group have done an incredible job designing our medical clinic and pharmacy! We came to them with a tall order to design a flagship health & wellness medical that flowed into a pharmacy and compounding lab. We wanted a design unlike anything ever done before that created a space that highlighted our forward-thinking and cutting edge concept of our company. This required them to understand not just our ideas about design but the mission and mandate of our company. I can't say enough to describe how this group nailed it! Also, besides the creative genius they brought to the table I was particularly impressed by their ability to help us choose the right contractor at the right bid. This saved us tens of thousands of dollars. As well, they know how to work with contractors and traders to keep them on task and motivated to create the design we wanted at the right price.
