This Texas Treasure began as a simple kitchen remodel, then expanded to include the entire home! What was a tired, dark, cramped space has now become an open, light, bright space fit for a serious cook! She yearned for natural and organic elements that harken to the outdoors. Stone, antique, rough, hand-hewn beams fit the bill perfectly!

This two-story single family residence underwent a renovation throughout. The exterior and interior of the home were renovated to a modern style with an expansion to the family room, kitchen, laundry, second floor guest suite and deck area. New flooring, plumbing, paint, cabinetry and light fixtures were installed throughout.

The dark wood floors of the kitchen are balanced with white inset shaker cabinets with a light brown polished countertop. The wall cabinets feature glass doors and are topped with tall crown molding. Brass hardware has been used for all the cabinets. For the backsplash, we have used a soft beige. The countertop features a double bowl undermount sink with a gooseneck faucet. The windows feature roman shades in a floral print. A white BlueStar range is topped with a custom hood. Project by Portland interior design studio Jenni Leasia Interior Design.
