Working with South Pointe Construction on this one of a kind home in Costa Mesa, California we achieved this Modern Farmhouse look with James Hardie Primed Board and Batten materials that were later painted.

An existing mid-century ranch house is renovated and expanded to accommodate the client's preference for a modern style of living. The extent of the renovation included a reworked floor plan, new kitchen, a large, open great room with indoor/outdoor space and an expended and reconfigured bedroom wing. Newly vaulted ceilings with shed dormers bring substantial daylight into the living spaces of the home. The exterior of the home is reinterpreted as a modern take on the traditional farmhouse. This 1970s ranch home in South East Denver was roasting in the summer and freezing in the winter. It was also time to replace the wood composite siding throughout the home. Since Colorado Siding Repair was planning to remove and replace all the siding, we proposed that we install OSB underlayment and insulation under the new siding to improve it’s heating and cooling throughout the year. After we addressed the insulation of their home, we installed James Hardie ColorPlus® fiber cement siding in Grey Slate with Arctic White trim. James Hardie offers ColorPlus® Board & Batten. We installed Board & Batten in the front of the home and Cedarmill HardiPlank® in the back of the home. Fiber cement siding also helps improve the insulative value of any home because of the quality of the product and how durable it is against Colorado’s harsh climate. We also installed James Hardie beaded porch panel for the ceiling above the front porch to complete this home exterior make over. We think that this 1970s ranch home looks like a dream now with the full exterior remodel. What do you think?

This primary bedroom got a huge influx of color and style. We designed and installed this board and batten accent wall, installed curtains, the ledge shelf, wall mounted lamps, replaced the hardware on the furniture, added the marigold coverlet to the bedding, removed the french doors to the en suite and installed a matte black barn door.

This living room was designed for my great clients that required a stylish and comfortable space for entertaining friends and relaxing after a long day. The barn door was designing custom for this couple. It's double sided, with the same beautiful finish on both sides. We also designed the custom board and batten wall treatment around the perimeter of this space and into the hallway to give the space some depth as well as a great architectural wall feature. Most of the accessories in this space are from Pottery Barn as well as World Market. The sofa was purchased by the homeowners before we began this project.

This urban craftsman style bungalow was a pop-top renovation to make room for a growing family. We transformed a stucco exterior to this beautiful board and batten farmhouse style. You can find this home near Sloans Lake in Denver in an up and coming neighborhood of west Denver. Colorado Siding Repair replaced the siding and panted the white farmhouse with Sherwin Williams Duration exterior paint.

This guest suite has tall board and batten wainscot that wraps the room and incorporates into the bathroom suite. The color palette was pulled from the exterior trim on the hone and the wood batten is typical of a 30s interior architecture and draftsmen detailing.
