This modern home in New Buffalo, Michigan had its concrete polished up to a 400 grit concrete polish by Dancer Concrete out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This polished concrete floor system incorporates a polished concrete Densifier and concrete stain guard for durability. This cocktail lounge is the ultimate nightcap room, designed with a moody, sophisticated ambiance perfect for winding down. Every detail was intentionally darker, from the rich black wood and sleek grey mirrors to the copper metals that complement the room's sultry vibe. The dramatic, graphic porcelain stone adds a striking visual element while being durable enough to withstand whiskey spills and lime acids. The result is a space that feels both intimate and high-end, ideal for those quiet moments at the end of the day.

Perched on a hillside in Southern Highlands, The Bluffs is a private gated community overlooking the Las Vegas Valley with unparalleled views of the mountains and the Las Vegas Strip. Indoor-outdoor living concepts, sustainable designs and distinctive floorplans create a modern lifestyle that makes coming home feel like a getaway. To give potential residents a sense for what their custom home could look like at The Bluffs, Blue Heron partnered with Cantoni to furnish a model home and create interiors that would complement the Vegas Modern™ architectural style. “We were really trying to introduce something that hadn’t been seen before in our area. Our homes are so innovative, so personal and unique that it takes truly spectacular furnishings to complete their stories as well as speak to the emotions of everyone who visits our homes,” shares Kathy May, director of interior design at Blue Heron. “Cantoni has been the perfect partner in this endeavor in that, like Blue Heron, Cantoni is innovative and pushes boundaries.” Utilizing Cantoni’s extensive portfolio, the Blue Heron Interior Design team was able to customize nearly every piece in the home to create a thoughtful and curated look for each space. “Having access to so many high-quality and diverse furnishing lines enables us to think outside the box and create unique turnkey designs for our clients with confidence,” says Kathy May, adding that the quality and one-of-a-kind feel of the pieces are unmatched. rom the perfectly situated sectional in the downstairs family room to the unique blue velvet dining chairs, the home breathes modern elegance. “I particularly love the master bed,” says Kathy. “We had created a concept design of what we wanted it to be and worked with one of Cantoni’s longtime partners, to bring it to life. It turned out amazing and really speaks to the character of the room.” The combination of Cantoni’s soft contemporary touch and Blue Heron’s distinctive designs are what made this project a unified experience. “The partnership really showcases Cantoni’s capabilities to manage projects like this from presentation to execution,” shares Luca Mazzolani, vice president of sales at Cantoni. “We work directly with the client to produce custom pieces like you see in this home and ensure a seamless and successful result.” And what a stunning result it is. Bathroom - transitional bathroom idea in San Francisco

What began as a kitchen remodel became a full first-floor transformation. Our clients’ clarity of vision and implicit trust in the RHD team set the stage for an impactful, holistic design. The new design honors the home’s architecture while giving it a sophisticated, soulful, and refreshingly grounded appeal. A thoughtful curation of materials reflects and elevates our clients’ distinctive style. These included a creamy honed quartzite, natural wood cabinetry, and reclaimed wood beams on the ceiling and fireplace mantle as well as sculptural lighting and new original art work that complemented our clients existing collection. With just a few strategic layout changes and a fresh, intuitive design direction, this home now flows effortlessly and feels entirely new.

The homeowners sought to create a modest, modern, lakeside cottage, nestled into a narrow lot in Tonka Bay. The site inspired a modified shotgun-style floor plan, with rooms laid out in succession from front to back. Simple and authentic materials provide a soft and inviting palette for this modern home. Wood finishes in both warm and soft grey tones complement a combination of clean white walls, blue glass tiles, steel frames, and concrete surfaces. Sustainable strategies were incorporated to provide healthy living and a net-positive-energy-use home. Onsite geothermal, solar panels, battery storage, insulation systems, and triple-pane windows combine to provide independence from frequent power outages and supply excess power to the electrical grid. Mathew and his team at Cummings Architects have a knack for being able to see the perfect vision for a property. They specialize in identifying a building’s missing elements and crafting designs that simultaneously encompass the large scale, master plan and the myriad details that make a home special. For this Winchester home, the vision included a variety of complementary projects that all came together into a single architectural composition. Starting with the exterior, the single-lane driveway was extended and a new carriage garage that was designed to blend with the overall context of the existing home. In addition to covered parking, this building also provides valuable new storage areas accessible via large, double doors that lead into a connected work area. For the interior of the house, new moldings on bay windows, window seats, and two paneled fireplaces with mantles dress up previously nondescript rooms. The family room was extended to the rear of the house and opened up with the addition of generously sized, wall-to-wall windows that served to brighten the space and blur the boundary between interior and exterior. The family room, with its intimate sitting area, cozy fireplace, and charming breakfast table (the best spot to enjoy a sunlit start to the day) has become one of the family’s favorite rooms, offering comfort and light throughout the day. In the kitchen, the layout was simplified and changes were made to allow more light into the rear of the home via a connected deck with elongated steps that lead to the yard and a blue-stone patio that’s perfect for entertaining smaller, more intimate groups. From driveway to family room and back out into the yard, each detail in this beautiful design complements all the other concepts and details so that the entire plan comes together into a unified vision for a spectacular home. As a large studio, we decided to combine the living and bedroom area - creating the feeling of a master suite! The sleek living space features a yellow upholstered loveseat and two modern orange chairs. These bright but warm hues subtly stand out against the dark grey backdrop, espresso-toned hardwood floors, and charcoal-colored coffee table. The bedroom area complements the dark hues of the living room but takes on a unique look of its own. With an exposed brick accent wall, gold and black decor, and crisp white bedding - the dark grey from the headboard creates congruency within the open space. Fire Island poses many challenges for creating successful landscapes. Careful planning, preparation and amendments allowed us to create this stunning garden. While there is a lot of symmetry throughout the grounds, the garden still has a casual feel that still captures the feel of the Island. Four years ago, we began the design process of the main house to align with the owner's retirement and move back to the Seattle area from Chicago in 2015. Although the Boathouse and Carriage house are more Pacific Northwest shingle in character, this time around the owners wanted a modern interpretation for the main house. Now in 2016 - 10 years later - they are settled in and their little "compound" has become the family gathering place for their three grown sons, their wives, and the owner's grandchildren. The main house is a contemporary interpretation of Northwest Regionalism in which dramatic waterfront conditions are complemented with aesthetic consideration of massing, materials and the embracing of natural light. The interior spaces are highlighted in marble, steel, walnut, Sapele and limestone finishes.

Light drenches a pass-through that serves as this South Carolina mountain home’s office, making it an ideal spot to work, daydream or take in the idyllic views. Dark taupe moldings add contrast and depth and are balanced by ivory walls. Charcoal grey and white draperies in a graphic pattern frame windows painted Sherwin Williams Black Fox. Woven blinds hang in the windows providing both privacy and light control. Traditional cabinets in a two-tone coloration are customized with gothic arches. The exteriors are painted the same taupe as the moldings and the interiors are stained to coordinate with the blinds, adding moments of rich brown at every glance. Filling the shelves are vintage books, family mementos and a lifetime of accolades. A Persian rug in aqua, gray and vanilla anchors the space while solidifying the color palette. A tufted leather desk chair with black nickel nails stands next to an ebony stained desk who’s intricately turned legs complement the home’s stately style. A taupe limed-oak side table holds a charming vintage telephone and ecru vase filled with local blooms. An architectural print framed in black hangs on a wall awash in mountain light. A glimpse of the guest room can be seen just beyond, its tufted chair beckoning visitors to make themselves at home.

This full home mid-century remodel project is in an affluent community perched on the hills known for its spectacular views of Los Angeles. Our retired clients were returning to sunny Los Angeles from South Carolina. Amidst the pandemic, they embarked on a two-year-long remodel with us - a heartfelt journey to transform their residence into a personalized sanctuary. Opting for a crisp white interior, we provided the perfect canvas to showcase the couple's legacy art pieces throughout the home. Carefully curating furnishings that complemented rather than competed with their remarkable collection. It's minimalistic and inviting. We created a space where every element resonated with their story, infusing warmth and character into their newly revitalized soulful home.
